In Memoriam

This month, the OFA pays tribute to Ch. Heathers Knock On Wood. Knotty succumbed to complications from a rattlesnake bite. A devoted companion, Knotty was defending his owner Lyn from the snake when the bite occurred.

"Knotty" was our first website Champion of Health. In fact, with his full complement of health clearances and outstanding show record, which included Group First at Westminster and BIS at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, Knotty was actually the inspiration for this monthly feature.

The OFA extends sincere sympathy to his owner Lyn Sherman, and his breeders Peter and Heather Whitcomb on the loss of this great dog.
