OFA Champion of Health Yakity

Our first Champion of Health for 2009 is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dual Champion – Amateur Field Champion Genny’s Yakity Yak Don’t Talk Back – bred and owned by Linda Harger and Tom Ivey.

Her Dual Champion status exemplifies her outstanding success in both the show ring and in the field.  Her physical soundness, natural talent, and intelligence have enabled her to be a tough competitor from the beginning as a derby dog to the present as an all age dog.  At home, she is described as a sweet companion and friend.  Yakity also comes from a long line of dogs with appropriate health clearances.  Yakity has OFA Excellent hips (her sire and dam do too!), Normal Elbows, is CERF cleared, is DNA tested Clear for DM, and has attained her CHIC number.  Two of her full siblings also have CHIC numbers, and she has offspring with OFA Excellent hips as well
