OFA Champion of Health Monty

Our July Champion of Health is “Monty”, BIS Ch. Just-Wright The Full Monty, co-bred by Julie Wright and Julie Cheng, and owned by Julie Wright. “Monty” was Julie’s pick and she knew early on that he was something special, the culmination of 30 years of carefully planned line-breeding. She named him The Full Monty because she felt he had it all; temperament, conformation, movement, pedigree, health, attitude, showmanship and even striking natural color and markings. Julie showed Monty to his Championship from the Bred By Exhibitor class in just 11 shows. He won his first group placement his first time out as a special. Then the team of Lindsay Bryson and Bobby Ott took over his training and presentation. He soared to #2 15" beagle Breed System in 2007, then captured #1 for 2008 and thus far for 2009. Monty is an all breed Best In Show winner with over 150 career Best of Variety wins, 50 Group Placements and 4 Best In Specialty show wins, including Best of Breed at the supported entry with the 2008 National specialty and Best of Variety at the 2008 National Specialty. Monty is a house dog, bed dog, and loves to perform silly pet tricks. He has health clearances for hips, eys, cardiac, MLS, and has a CHIC number based on health screening recommended by the National Beagle Club.  He has sired several CHIC offspring as well, and is indeed 'The Full Monty'.
