Phorest and Elliott are our September 2010 Champions of Health. “Phorest”, Dual Ch. Hallam’s Phorest of Bekaby, is a Specialty Show BOB and multiple Best in Field winner. In fact, he is the breed record holder for the most Best in Field awards. Phorest is currently the only Pharaoh Hound ranked in the Top 10 in both Conformation and Lure Coursing. On the health front, Phorest has hip, eye, patella, and thyroid clearances, qualifying him as a CHIC dog. “Elliot”, Dual Ch. Hallam Churuka’s Limited Edition is an all breed BIS winner, and National Specialty BOB winner. Like Phorest, Elliott has competed successfully in lure coursing as well, and completed 2009 in the top 5 in both conformation and lure coursing. On the health front, Elliott has also qualified as a CHIC dog with hip, elbow, thyroid, patella, and eye clearances. Both dogs are owned and handled by Robert Newman. Phorest was bred by L. Lockwood-Staub, D. Carota and S. Sipperly, and is co-owned by Dominic Carota and Stephen Sipperly. Elliot was bred by D. Carota, S. Sipperly, L. Witt, and N. Sowerbutts, and is co-owned by Marlene Youell, Dominic Carota, and Stephen Sipperly.
With their success in the ring and field, and their corresponding health clearances, both Phorest and Elliot are truly Champions of Health.
